• Responsible for operating, maintaining and/or repairing equipment and systems; equipment startup; shutdown; and, isolation.
• Work effectively in a team environment to monitor, log, resolve, and escalate operation and safety issues. 
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
• Maintains appropriate records and documents and submits reports as required.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Monitor contract labour work and ensures that safe practices and procedures are adhered to.
• Participate in plant safety and security inspections.
• Sample and test plant process streams, gas chromatography and laboratory analysis.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
• May work as a relief operator as part of an operating team.
• As a member of a busy team, actively assist with additional projects as required.

Education, Skills & Experience:

• Graduate12, and 4th class Steam Engineering or technical degree required.
• Certificate of GPOA& B is considered an asset.
• Operations experience in a natural gas plant or related industry is considered an asset.
• Computer proficiency and excellent interpersonal, problem solving and economic thinking skills are strong assets for this position.
• A commitment to working safely.
• Criminal background check and fit-to-work medical exam required.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
