The Project Director is responsible to provide leadership to teams responsible the execution of pipeline and facility projects related to IPF's oil sand petroleum transportation systems. This position will report directly to the General Manager, Project Development.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the execution of major capital projects in accordance with IPF's internal project management system (PDI).
• Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to project management teams.
• Interface with internal stakeholders to support the development and implementation of Capital Growth Projects.
• Support Business Development with the preparation of technical proposals including costs estimates, scopes and schedules.
• Interface with project shippers including reporting at project update meetings.
• Monitor and report on progress of projects at regularly scheduled meetings throughout the PDI process.
• Manage all financial aspects of the project in compliance with IPF's control systems.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, with minimal environmental impact, within all rules, regulations and industry best practices, on budget, on time, and are an operational success.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• The successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta with a minimum of 15 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills are required.
• The candidate must possess good communication (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have a good working knowledge of engineering principles related to the pipeline industry and all applicable rules and regulations.
• Experience completing all aspects of pipeline and facilities capital projects including scoping, design, construction, and commissioning.
• Pipeline owner company experience would be beneficial.
