Summer Student: Grounds Maintenance
Cochrane Plant
Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance and Reliability you will be responsible for keeping the plant grounds in a well maintained condition, under the general supervision of Contract Grounds personnel.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Cutting lawns
- Trimming trees
- Weed control
- Planting and maintaining flowerbeds
- Spring clean up and fall preparations
- Assisting with basic plant maintenance when weather dictates
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Physically fit, able to perform manual labor
- Self motivated with a strong work ethic
- Pleasant personality and positive outlook
- Dependable and punctual
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn new skills
- A commitment to learning, safety consciousness and compliance with plant procedures is essential
