Contracts Specialist

 Inter Pipeline Fund (IPF) is currently executing a large portfolio of organic development projects on its oil-sand and conventional pipeline systems. The Contracts Specialist is responsible for providing contract and procurement support for a variety of pipeline and facilities projects.

This position will report directly to the Senior Contracts Specialist in the Project Development Group.


Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Managing bidding processes and correspondence with contractors, suppliers and service providers
  • Administering contract change processes
  • Managing direct procurement including expediting and receipt of large-scale materials such as pipe, valves, pumps and motors
  • Development of procurement terms and conditions
  • Working collaboratively with IPF legal department to ensure proper review of all contract documents
  • Providing guidance and mentoring personnel in the best practices of contract and procurement management

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 12 years of experience in contract and procurement management related to oil and gas development projects
  • Demonstrated history of successful collaborative work with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong working knowledge of contract law
