Integrity Engineer

Reporting to the Supervisor, Pipeline Integrity, the Integrity Engineer provides oversight to the tank and pressure equipment integrity management program for all Inter Pipeline - operated Canadian assets, and the facility piping integrity management program at the Cochrane Extraction Plant. This position supports Inter Pipeline’s strategies to operate pipeline assets in a safe, compliant and reliable manner, and to aggressively manage operating expenses.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Program owner of storage tank and sump integrity programs. Manage inspection and repair projects under this compliance-driven program
- Program owner of facility piping integrity program at the Cochrane Extraction Plant. Manage inspection and repair projects under this program
- Program owner of the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management program and the QC Program. Support the Corporate Chief Inspector in the day-to-day implementation
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulations on all programs
- Maintaining inspection schedules and coordinating the long term plans for outages
- Ownership of the budgets for tank, pressure equipment and plant facility piping integrity programs
- Supervising one or more direct reports
- Reviewing or auditing programs for non-operated facilities as appropriate
- Developing guidelines, standards and procedures to support the programs
- Investigation of near misses and incidents on tanks, pressure vessels or facility piping
Experience, Education and Skills:
- Registered Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist
- 10+ years of related integrity management experience in the petrochemical or oil and gas business
- Experience with the development of integrity management programs
- Project management experience
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
