Summer Student: Mechanical Maintenance Cochrane Plant
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the maintenance department with a number of projects to help reduce backlog, under the general supervision of Maintenance personnel. This position will also provide coverage for peak vacation periods.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Assisting welder
- Safety watch
- General painting
- Parts clean up and general assistance for millwrights
- Plant clean up
Education, Skills and Experience:

Currently enrolled in a post secondary program related to mechanical/processes and has, at minimum, completed the first year of the program

Having some plant or construction experience will be considered an asset

Physically fit, able to perform manual labor

The candidate must possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to work in a fast paced team environment

A commitment to learning, safety consciousness and compliance with plant procedures is essential

The candidate will be required to complete a summer student safety course
