Summer Student: Operations
Cochrane Plant
Reporting to the Supervisor, Plant Operations you will be responsible for maintaining the sampling timeline and assisting personnel when required, under the general supervision of Operations personnel.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Daily sampling (Gas, NGL, Amine, LoCat & Cooling Water)
- Weekly sampling (Gas, Cooling Water, & Surface Runoff)
- Monthly sampling (CO2, Gas, Equipment Oil & NGL)
- Quarterly sampling (LoCat, Amine, HMO, Cooling Water)
- Surface runoff pond monitoring
- Weekly river checks
- Various requested sampling
- Assisting operators as required
- Assisting with lab filing and reporting
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a university program and has, at minimum, completed the first year of the program
- Physically fit, able to perform sampling
- The candidate must have a strong work ethic, be self motivated, dependable and punctual
- S/he must possess a positive attitude and a strong commitment to learning
- Safety consciousness and compliance with plant procedures is essential
