Summer Student: Central Alberta Pipeline Field Operations

Stettler/Drumheller

Reporting to the Central Alberta Pipeline (CAPL) Supervisor, the summer student will be responsible for providing general field support to the Inter Pipeline CAPL system in the Drumheller & Stettler area.  


Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Vegetation management at Stettler Station, Drumheller Station, Duhamel, Hay Lakes, New Norway, Nevis, East Drumheller Booster and all block valve, pigtrap, and lact sites
  • Painting at Stettler Station, Drumheller Station, Duhamel, Hay Lakes, New Norway, Nevis, East Drumheller Booster and all block valve, pigtrap, and lact sites
  • Data entry at Stettler and Drumheller field offices - internal website, Ticket Capture, Maximo
  • Assist Operations field staff conducting routine tasks - maintenance such as Gaso pump oil changes, meter repair and replacements, collecting and processing crude oil samples


Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year  post secondary education
  • Intermediate MS Office skills and experience with Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimum supervision
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, growth environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Safety Training: First Aid, H2S Alive is an asset and will be required
