Summer Student: Central Alberta Pipeline Field Operations
Stettler/Drumheller
Reporting to the Central Alberta Pipeline (CAPL) Supervisor, the summer student will be responsible for providing general field support to the Inter Pipeline CAPL system in the Drumheller & Stettler area.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Vegetation management at Stettler Station, Drumheller Station, Duhamel, Hay Lakes, New Norway, Nevis, East Drumheller Booster and all block valve, pigtrap, and lact sites
- Painting at Stettler Station, Drumheller Station, Duhamel, Hay Lakes, New Norway, Nevis, East Drumheller Booster and all block valve, pigtrap, and lact sites
- Data entry at Stettler and Drumheller field offices - internal website, Ticket Capture, Maximo
- Assist Operations field staff conducting routine tasks - maintenance such as Gaso pump oil changes, meter repair and replacements, collecting and processing crude oil samples
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year post secondary education
- Intermediate MS Office skills and experience with Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimum supervision
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, growth environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Safety Training: First Aid, H2S Alive is an asset and will be required
