• Provide technical support, hardware/software configuration and maintenance support to the districts in the areas of PLC, HMI and Telecommunication
• Identify, evaluate and recommend system enhancements to existing facilities to reduce operating risks and or costs
• Ensure system integrity through backup/restore and disaster recovery processes and procedures
• Stay current on new technology and industry initiatives related to our business and reports on potential technical enhancements and/or economic benefits
• Develop, coordinate and schedule routine preventative maintenance programs
• Maintains critical spare parts inventory
• Knowledgeable in all operating standards, codes, rules and regulations that impact  pipeline operations
• Review, update and develop safe work practices, procedures, job task analysis and management of change documents
• Review design basis memorandum, comments and recommends on equipment and vendor selection
• Provide technical support, design review, HAZOP’s, commissioning and start up of new projects
• Review and report on new industry initiatives and regulations and potential impact to IPF’s operations

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Preference will be given to an Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering Technologist graduate with a journeyman certificate
• Minimum of 5 years related industry experience
• Positive attitude
• Demonstrated safe work practices along with sound judgment
• This position requires the candidate to travel to remote sites and be part of an on-call rotation
