Senior Project Manager
Calgary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing project management and detailed engineering support for a variety of pipeline and facility projects related to IPF's Conventional and Cold Lake pipeline systems.  This position will report directly to the Supervisor, Pipeline Engineering.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Business Development, Operations, and other internal groups to support the development and implementation of new Capital Growth Projects.
  • Manages multiple projects to IPF's AFE and internal project management systems (PDI), including design, cost estimates, reporting, construction, and commissioning efforts for viable projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, with minimal environmental impact, within all rules, regulations and industry best practices, on budget, on time, and are an operational success.
  • Respond to Field Operations and Operations Services technical requests as required.
  • Mentor Project Engineers in order to help them develop professional and technical skills.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills are required.  Certification in project management is a definite asset.
  • The candidate must possess good communication (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of engineering principles related to the pipeline industry and all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Experience completing all aspects of a capital project including scoping, design, construction, and commissioning from an owners perspective would be beneficial.
